These worked exactly as i wanted them to although  i used them not as extention plates but plates to bring the forward controls back closer to me. Ive got short legs. Used these on a redneck frame. Also they are made of aluminum and pretty thick. I was thinking it would be steel. So not much weight was added.

I own a 84-85 Soft tail and this extension did the trick for long legs. I 6'-3" and would say it's good up to 6'-5" person.
