Review: A good floor fan and a great budget option for DIY air purification - I recall owning this brand and model of floor fan back in college, where it proved itself extremely powerful and quiet. I was recently in search of a fan for use in a DIY Corsi-Rosenthal Box air purifier, and I was excited to see it available here. So far, it's performing admirably. This fan has three speed settings. It's rated to move 1200 CFM on its lowest setting, which is perfect for a 4-filter Corsi Rosenthal Box with 20x25x1" 3M MERV-14 filters; and my own testing via an Android noise meter app shows that the fan produces a mere 42-45 decibels on that setting. You can certainly hear it, but it's not loud (especially compared to a typical box fan). It would effectively serve as a gentle white noise machine at night. This is not a battery fan, and its 6-foot cord length is a little bit restrictive, but for this price point it gets the job done. $50 seems like a fair price for this fan, though I was able to get it on sale for $32--at that price, it's a steal. Recommended.

All metal housing with double handles makes it easy to carry around and a good size 2 meter power cord makes it easy to connect to any location. The only negative would be the instructions given for the assembly, rather than have notes written they only provide images of certain areas and don't explain what is to be done. Aside from that everything is great. Fan speeds goes from to 5000-8540 cfm not to 7700 as listed on desertcart. Highly recommend.

This is the second of these fans I’ve ordered. The first arrived with a bad vibration that I traced to a fan blade that was angled at a different pitch than the other two blades. I fixed it myself with some blade support bending. This new one is correct and well-balanced right out of the box. Pushes good air and is not real loud, especially for use in a garage. Love the ball bearing equipped motors which allows it to spin very freely. Hopefully these will last a while.
