The ink that comes in the kit is the cheapest watered down crap. If you starting all you should worry about is a good black ink. COLORS are pretty bright. I love the kit. Wish for more tips. **Q: Im having some issues getting to the machine to acyually run. Ive checked the clipcords, and the screws all seem tight. Is there any way to fix this?** A: They should be tuned and calibrated before use. Adjust the armature bar and springs. ( up/ down/ side/side) . The bar is loose when you unpack them. Your connections probably aren’t getting through because something isn’t aligned properly. Check your contact screw and the hit & drag by connecting, hitting the foot pedal, and bumping the needle hook with your thumb to see if it gets a good spark.
