Smirk actually seems to regard it as a sign of where to mark or pee. He started by marking on chairs, or occasionally just full out urinating (you can tell by the smell and volume of the urine). We tired this product and he started marking more. We got some pee pads, which saved the chairs and wood floor under them, but he continued marking. Then I got a different spray (angry orange) which I sprayed on the pee pads and Smirk stopped peeing on the pads and chairs for the most part. It went from almost daily to less than weekly after I stopped using Nature's Miracle.
