I have also played an electric acoustic guitar through it and it was good with that too. It's a pretty versatile amp. **Q: Would this be ok for home practice with an electric guitar and vocal microphone used at the same time?** A: Yes this will work great for that application. you can use guitar FX as well if you want to add distortion **Q: Could you play a bass guitar through this amp?** A: Yes. I do regularly . Laney recommends using input #2 . The inards are based on the LANEY RB5 120watt bass amp. I also have used this for backing vocals and playing tracks from phone in rehearsal room at the same time . (Those extra inputs are really useful) Thoroughly recommend it , I've even lined out a guitar with a small 5 watt vox amp through it for extra volume. **Q: Can you play music from an iPod through this amp?** A: Yes if you were to connect it via the Ipods headphone socket.
