I've had a garden pool18,000 plus litres for years but had to replace the liner.what went wrong went wrong big time. The Cherry blossom has been fantastic, the May blossom outstanding and unfortunately my skimmer couldn't cope on its own. Needed an emergency service so ordered an Oase swim skimmer 25 to help out. Wow weee I'm so impressed by this small work horse it went to work immediately and apart from discharging the blossom it's never stopped. A serious bit of equipment to help keep your pool in prestige condition. Review: Effective when installed properly - Good product. Previous reviewer may have struggled to set it up properly. Mine has been running for a year and works well. If it's rising up you need to 1) flood it properly and 2) adjust the aerator direction. If your skimmer finds itself over your air stones, the upward moving water may also lift it - as might your pond filter return flow. There are various ways to tether the unit. The power cable may do it but I used stainless steel 316 wire and attached it to the one of the brackets underneath. Fishing wire would have probably done the trick. I've also seen a video online where I noticed someone had poked wire into two of the round float plugs on the top (not the one that takes in air) and attached it to the pond wall. I've also seen someone cut the aerator feed tube to reduce the noise created by the exploding bubbles, bursting on the surface from the aerator - but I think that's a bit overkill. Is the product include manual? Do you need an installation program to use this product?** A: I don't think it is 220v acceptable, just plugs in gfci outlet and runs. We used it for a short time since it is smaller than expected and fills Up quickly. Our pond is about 16 ft by 11 ft surface area. **Q: How long is the power cord?** A: I think about 15 ft...... It would have been nice to of been a little longer. But I can tell you this skimmer is working very well for us. We built this pretty good size pond/waterfall and wanted something to help with keeping debris under control. The directions to put together leave a lot to your imagination. But by using a little common sense and old school know how my husband (77 yrs) and I (74 yrs) got it together. Read a lot of reviews .... we did put 1 small rock to help with keeping it down in water. I also zip tied 4 small water bottle evenly along cord to help skimmer be more maneuverable back and forth in water. Some reviews said to weight the cord to bottom but I found that just hindered the skimmer from circulating around our pond . I also found it best to attach the cord with tie to the float opposite the skimmer flap. I guess there are lots of different ideas to make it work right but this worked best for us and we tried every thing others had said to do. We are very happy with this skimmer and like I said with a little bit of altering things it circulates back and forth pretty well and works great picking up debris. **Q: How does this work with oxygen bubbles? We have koi in our pond so we supply air through a small hose attached to the bubbler that sits at the bottom.** A: When this skimmer runs the aeration is exceptional. The bubbles are not as fine as an airstone on a dedicated air pump, but the air volume produced by this unit is more than adequate. I run mine on a timer 15 minutes on and 2 hours off. It is important to remove accumulation of skimmings and rinse filter regularly as it works so well it can easily be overwhelmed if there is a lot of surface debris. The skimmer is excellent and I have removed all dedicated air pumps from my system. **Q: Does anyone know where to get a replacement aerator nozzle for thie (that little dual exhaust looking piece that snaps onto the bottom)? So yes I do recommended the item. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Does an excellent job but the basket can fall out easily *by S***N on 27 September 2025* This item works really well and has managed to clear our pond surface beautifully. The reason for the 4 stars rather than 5 is that in retrieving the skimmer to clean the filter the basket fell out and is now sitting on the bottom of the pond somewhere. We emails oase to ask if we could buy a new one but have not had a response so I called this morning and they don't work on Saturdays. I left a message so now waiting to see if they call back.
