Review: I’ve had this coffeemaker since April 2024 and never had issues with it until a few weeks ago when the drip from the carafe got extremely slow and half the water would remain without brewing. The problem is I never changed the filter, I never descaled it either. I cleaned it entirely today, used the descaling once and then 4 cups of vinegar. After several cycles, it’s back to normal. I recommend you descale it every 3-4 months and replace the filter every 2-3 months. I believe I bought me a darn good machine. Oh, and the pod side (single serve) works great as well! Thank you.** A: The Cuisinart features two separate reservoirs — one to brew a full pot of coffee & one for a single-serve cup. The two reservoirs mean that when you brew a pot, you aren’t using up all of the water from the single-serve reservoir — which is a plus. However both reservoirs are somewhat difficult to access. To answer your question, you don’t have to pour water in each time for the single-serve function, which is an improvement over some other dual coffee makers (like the Hamilton Flex Brew). The single-serve reservoir holds 40 oz — enough to brew three 10 oz cups or five 6 oz cups before refilling. (It requires a limited amount of water to remain in the reservoir to work properly.) For a larger reservoir, consider the Keurig K-Duo Plus, which features a 60-63 oz single reservoir. The Actual setting on the counter size is 10.5" wide x 10.5" deep x 14.5" tall **Q: Which gold filter does ss-15 12-cup coffee maker and single-serve brewer use the flat or the cone shaped filter?** A: The 12 cup pot uses a #4 cone shaped filter. The single serve side uses k-cups - prefilled coffee pods for 1 time use - one pod nakes 1 cup of coffee. Or, My K-Cup Filter Basket - which is more like a refillable-bullet with a tight fitting lid. It holds just enough coffee for 1 cup. It can be emptied, rinsed out and reused. **Q: Does it use any brand single serve pod** A: Mine does not have a needle in the bottom to break through a pod. So now whenever I try to make a single cup either from ground coffee in the refillable pod or a K-Cup pd, it makes a terrible noise and the lights for all three sizes of single cups blink and I have to turn it off to clear that. Now the only working part is the full pot. No problem until I inserted a K-cup (Trader Joe's brand) where no puncture was made for the water to flow through the bottom of the pod into a mug. Love it. ### ⭐ Review *by S***Z on 21 September 2025* Purchased in May 2025 and began using in June. It is now mid-September 2025 and this machine is non-functional. From the get-go, the pod side made odd noises. Within a month, about one out of every five pod brews wouldn’t brew more than an inch of coffee. Cleaned completely as the videos suggest and descaled. Still not reliable. Then the carafe side started to overflow and leak when it was brewing. Took it all apart and cleaned it again. Now the pod side only displays and E07 error message, regardless of what I have done to try to fix it (as per video troubleshooting). A coffee maker should not need this amount of maintenance within the first three months. Either this was a refurbished model that was advertised as new, or it is a completely non-functional model that Cuisinart should not be selling — especially at a $250+ price tag. Extremely disappointed.
