There are many many videos available showing the pages of this book, both on YT and TT, so I won't bother to do a walk-through of it. The patterns are clever, things I would never have thought of. But they're NOT intricate at all; mostly just chunky geometric shapes, etc. This book can be as simple or as complicated as you would like to make it, and both are perfectly acceptable. The paper is not tremdously thick, but it does okay even with my alcohol markers, as long as you remember to put a few sheets of paper or cardstock behind the page you are working on. You could color it with markers, colored pencils or even crayons (water-based markers might shred the paper; experiment at your own risk). I bought two of them, one for my daughter, who had this on her wish list for a while and became a little obsessed with watching one particular colorist on TT who creates incredible pages!! It wasn't really on my radar but I love to buy us the same books so we can share and compare our work (just for fun), so I got myself one, too. I didn't do the best job with my first page, but it's a learning curve I'm happily in line for! Review: Worth the buy - I love this coloring book!! Very satisfying and unique patterns and shapes.
