Well, I just received my third one and I wasn't very pleasantly surprised that they now ship two extra support clips with the cooling pad, so if I break one, I can just replace the clip instead of the whole pad. For a pad at this price point, I feel that's a completely unexpected improvement to the overall product. They also shipped a much higher quality male-to-male USB-A cable than before. The first couple I got were low quality and caused power drops when jostled, so I bought a better quality one to use. This third one came with a much higher quality cable as well, which I'm going to try for a while and see if it holds up. Buy this one, you won't be disappointed! My gaming laptop managed to drop about 8-14 degrees and I love that it’s not very loud. The cooling can definitely be felt. It doesn’t run on batteries it comes with a USB cable.
