It is not expensive and has a nice tone. After a week of tuning in it keeps itself in tune /or very nearly. I do not know the make of strings supplied but they seem fine to me, the instrument makes a nice sound. I personally like the shape and size, I much prefer it to the usual guitar shape. Mine is in a padded bag and you can easily take it with luggage. I understand that these instruments may not be being made by the manufacturer anymore? which if true is a pity.So I am a happy customer, would I buy another one, certainly, if I needed to. Would I recommend it, yes, for a beginner and beyond. Its super light easy to play and makes a much more authentic sound that the Martin Smith ukulele out of argos.
