It's 50 watts per channel which is overkill for rear/surround channels but it held up fine as a primary outdoor amp. Careful with the volume though because it gets LOUD very quickly. Like in my room it's probably at 10%? There are no tone controls but it's a bassy sound. Very "full". The head unit sends the rear channel signal via RCA OR speaker inputs. And again. No discernable lag via either input. As a wireless solution it's awesome. As a basic stereo amp it is also awesome. I wish it had more of it's own features like bluetooth or streaming but then it would be a much different and more expensive product. If you're checking this out then you know what you need. We purchased the high power antennas. No drop outs or interference in a house with 50+ Wifi devices. The transmitter is about 16 feet from the receiver, and the signal has to travel through us sitting on our sofa. No problems at all. Set up was simple. Plug & play. Having the rotating volume knob on the front makes it easy to bring up the rear speakers. But if you've carefully balanced the sound with Audyssey, you lose your set up with a swipe of the duster. The rear amp is powerful. & Gives good bass through our KEF table-top speakers. We've used other wireless rear amps that never really worked properly.
