Removing the strips is no problem but it leaves a residual on the window glass** A: Spray some WD40 on the window & leave for 20 / 30 mins then rub with fine wire wool . Good luck ! **Q: Does this item come in a dark silver colour ?** A: Lead is a natural base metal, when the strip is manufactured it’s a bright shiny colour but over a period of time it darkens naturally **Q: Hi would i have to lead both sids of the door.Allan 20 October 2015.** A: I originally planned to do both sides of the door, however I did not take into eccount the fact that The double glazed front door meant that it would look OK from a distance but from close up the lead would not look aligned due to the gap between the glass. I decided that it would be better just to do the outside only. If you have just a single glaze then I would do both. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Fantastic solution to an annoying problem *by H***N on 9 December 2019* A full length mirror attached to a wardrobe door in our bedroom had cracked towards the bottom. We didn't want to go to the trouble and expense of changing the mirror. Nor did we want to camouflage the noticeable crack by way of self-adhesive window foil or similar. I came across this lead strip and knew it was the answer to our annoying problem.When the lead strip arrived I found it very easy and pleasant to use. Even though the crack was slightly curved I found it easy to adjust the slightly flexible strip to follow the line of the curve. The end result looks really well and almost as if the mirror had been supplied with the lead strip ornamentation in the first place. The sturdy plastic tool supplied with the strip made it possible to fix the strip firmly to the surface of the mirror and enabled a very good looking finish.I highly recommend this product and would buy it again anytime. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good stuff *by S***R on 28 April 2023* I bought this by mistake, needed 9mm. Easy to apply and a good match to existing lead. Adhesive seems good, but will need to monitor over time.
