Can water flow in both directions?** A: This could only be done if both supplies were from equally balanced tanks header tanks. If the cold was direct from the rising main it would break water regulations to connect it like this. You would risk (1) exporting all your hot water to the mains in a supply interruption and (2) back filling your hot ware tank by feeding cold water into it via the outlet (which is not regulated by a float valve). Don't do it!! **Q: Ho can be used for a washing machines and outside tap please** A: I used this for washing machine and dishwasher to split the mains supply and yes it can also be used on outside garden hose systems **Q: Where is it made? This product seems of solid construction with 2 outlets both controlled by a seperate chromed ball valve. The fitting goes directly onto the tap with no problem, I did have to change the o ring to a washer to make the hose tap connector fit, or you could use the Hoselock type fitting to connect it.
