You will not get ultra-thin precision like a fine-tip pen, but you also will not feel like you are writing with a fat highlighter. They dry quick, and they are not overly inky. They are not 100% smear resistant, but after not even a few seconds it has dried already. The overall quality is great! The colors pop, and they do not feel like those inky markers that fade after a few strokes. They hold their pigment well, and even the lighter pastel shades stay legible.
