They asked for more information and once I sent it, they gave me 2 replacement options, each was acceptable to me. Customer service was great. This current unit works well. It is currently removing about 2 gallons of water a day (we live in the South where it’s very humid). It has dropped the humidity in our home to where we want it. It’s compact and on low fan, it is very quiet, high speed is louder but not too loud for us. There are multiple drain options, I chose to use a mini split ac condensate pump because of my drain locations, emptying it multiple times a day just doesn’t work for us. This dehumidifier looks good... but we were EXTREMELY disappointed that you couldn't use a regular hose for the continuous drain function. A flimsy plastic tube comes with the unit for continuous draining... and it is not NEARLY long enough to do any good. You can't simply hook up a garden hose... there is no standard garden hose fitting on the unit. You can ONLY use the flimsy short plastic tube that comes with the unit. We tried multiple "fixes" to make it work, but all of our efforts were in vain. I would not buy this dehumidifier again simply for this reason alone. POOR engineering! **Q: Even if the hose is connected, it is connected to manual drain How can I get it to connect with a hose?** A: For mine I had to unscrew the cap to the drain AND then remove a small black rubber plug which blends in too well (which I missed at first) then hook up the drain hose. Then it went to continuous drain without problems and there is no water in the bucket. **Q: Makes a loud noise and the case was cracked. What should I do ? when it arrived** A: Mine wasn’t damaged and isn’t loud. It must have happened during shipping. I would contact the returns department where you purchased it. I’m sure they would make this right. You would be very pleased with it if it wasn’t damaged I’m sure because it works great. **Q: Will this dehumidifier cover the whole house?** A: Depends on how big the house is. Would definitely consider Waykar again. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great for two years, then started freezing over *by B***X on May 2, 2026* This unit worked flawlessly for about two years and then started freezing over. Granted, it does have the auto defrost feature but even with it running it just wasn’t pulling the same amount of water it used to. It used to pull enough water that I had to empty it about twice a day, now it’s about once a week. The temp and humidity hasn’t changed drastically in my house so it seems that something stopped working or a sensor is off. I contacted customer support and they totally earn a 5-star. Quick and responsive and were more than willing to make things right. I would give 5-stars but the unit not functioning after pretty much two summers is a bummer. If it weren’t for the excellent customer service, this would get not a great review.
