I use a 10mm hose for the final rinse to minimise the volume of water. It works perfectly though. One of my cars is solid black paint prone to water marking. One other point, keep it in a dark place, shed or cupboard etc.I will buy another when it stops doing the job. But I have had this one a few years now. **Q: How long does it last?** A: If you only use it for 2 minutes to rinse off your washed car once a week, I reckon 6 months. **Q: How long will it last?** A: This will depend on how long you use it for on each wash, how often you use it and the type of water in your area (hard, soft, chalkey). I live on the north down where the water has a lot of chalky residue and so leaves white spotting when using a hose without the filter. Using the filter provides a really clear unblemished finish. I use the filter for car cleaning and also window/door cleaning etc. I have had the product 12 months using the item every couple of weeks and still filters really well.
