And that there is a metal cube inside that’s only purpose was to add weight. I can tell you why they did that. When you hold this radio it feels money. Needs some work. *by D***D on October 31, 2023* For the cost, this radio has more features than others more expensive and is small, mobile, and compact. It is worth a consideration. Pros: -Mobile App works well, manual and digital tuning, easy manual scan betten stored frequencies, good squelch threshold, nice battery life and USB-C charging. Cons: -The manual translation is bad and near useless (go figure it out yourself). No scan of stored channels (memos). Scan overwrites memos. No multiband scan. Bad squelch tail (after transmission), some features are useless like a Bluetooth speaker (as the audio is worse than a cell phone), would like to see more frequency ranges (E.g. CB), newer AIR bands, cheap toy-looking. The App should allow stored channels (memos) to be labeled. SD card didn't work for me but I didn't try older/smaller types. The external antenna doesn't connect well or help much in my experience. Email support is slow or useless., I think the company needs some native English speakers. I hope future app updates will fix some of these problems or even update the radio FW.
