It worked ok for a few weeks, but with the opening and closing of the door, the magnet would slide down an inch or two every so often. Then one day I came home and the metal hook had come unglued from the backing and slid all the way down my door, scraping the paint off. Now I suppose that the heat from the sun melted the glue and caused this to happen, but you'd think that they could come up with a way to adhere the protective backing without using glue that melts since this is intended for a metal door. Now it looks like a gigantic bird turd on my once all black door. Waste of money and now I have to sand and repaint my door, costing me even more time and money.
