The top link was to this one and, as a fan of the film 'Office Space', I couldn't *not* buy it. It's a proper, heavy, well-built, made-to-last stapler. All the important bits are made of metal that won't bend after three uses and it works brilliantly. I haven't had it long, but I know that, barring disaster, it just may be the last stapler I ever need to buy.

And when I took it in to work so my co-workers (to whom I introduced said film) could get a kick out of it, I discovered it's actually a ruddy good stapler. Although it's designed to work best with Swingline's own staples, it works perfectly well with any standard 26/6 staples you may have lying about. As mentioned, this product came about because of the cult comedy movie "Office Space." In order to make Milton's stapler stand out more in the film, the props department painted it red. Eventually, demand was so great, Swingline caved in and now makes this special edition Rio Red stapler, "the star of any office space," as the blurb on the package claims. **Q: Can this work on a stack of 100 TPS reports?**
A: It can handle about 20 TPS reports.  Maybe 25, if the paper's thin, 15 if it's heavy paper stock.

A: It arrives empty; you're meant to supply the staples.  Any standard 26/6 should suffice.  Sorry it took so long to reply.  Life in upheaval at the moment.

**Q: Can this stapler take standard generic staples or do I need to buy Swingline own staples?**
A: hello, generic staples provided they are the right size will do. It has never been a challenge to replace the staples on this very lovely stapler. I would recommend getting this and being very protective of it as it will last you a lifetime.

**Q: After having this stapler for a while, do you still recommend it?**
A: If you do a lot of repetitive stapling, as I often do, then a stapler that doesn't do its thing properly quickly gets to you. In my case that results in rapid and violent destruction. This one has survived, and yes, that's no doubt largely because I paid for this one myself rather than accept another cheap one from my employers. What I HAVE come to realise is that the quality of the staples makes a big difference. The cheap things that my firm buy buckle and contort under the slightest of pressure. So I'd recommend trying decent stapes first, if you can. Has to be said though this is a good looking bit of kit, nice to have around.
