It is advantageous that this product includes omega from both land and sea sources, as omega-3's derived solely from plant sources (such as flax) lose potency as a result of the endogenous conversion of ALA's into a usable format. Further, rest assured that any degradation associated with lack of temperature control during transit would be nominal. That being said, the palatability of this oil leaves something to be desired. The lemony zest has enough kick to knock your teeth out if you down this stuff straight, but it IS preferable to the "fishy" taste of other supplements (which is not even remotely evident with this product). I put a tablespoon of this into a smoothie every morning, which takes the edge off of the razor-sharp lemony zing with which this oil pierces the tongue. The bottle, while a shade tall, fits well inside a refrigerator door, and there is a permeable seal that prevents oil from spilling out of the bottle too quickly.
