I recently applied a coating of this spray a few days before a 2 hour (each way) trip, after washing the car. Application is simply - spray on, wipe off. You may find white areas if you don't wipe them, but they are easily removed. The shine was outstanding (important!) and it left a great scent (less important, but nice). What was really nice is how easy the bugs and road tar came off when I returned from the 4 hours of highway driving. Everything literally wiped off with a microfiber towel, with no effort whatsoever.
