With the shift from the hard disk drive to the solid state drive the VisionTek DLX4 M.2’s provide a drop-in replacement option for the hard disk drive (HDD) for M.2 NVMe compatible systems. Conforming to the industry standard NVMe connector specification, these SSDs integrate easily into compatible infrastructures. Review: Good enough for the legion go - First off, somethings to keep in mind, this drive is specifically for the legion go. And, it takes a bit of inner windows knowledge to setup. Particularly using Dism, make an FFU dump of your OS. Then migrate and extends those partitions onto this drive. Also, used some partition software to extend the disc from 500gbs to the newly 2tbs. All in all, works great and love the extra space. Key notes: DISM will take abit to make a dump of the OS stack, like maybe 30 minutes but it’s worth it if you want to clone the OS. And, not worry about setting up a new image and key. You will also need something to put the drive in and to setup the image with DISM copy and apply commands. Microsoft has a couple of tutorials and even chatgpt can source you some commands in the cli.

Won’t recommend for Gaming Handhelds such Lenovo Legion Go - I bought this VisionTek 2242 DLX4 M.2 SSD 2TB with high expectations for my Lenovo Legion Go, but unfortunately, the experience has been disappointing. Since day 1 the drive generates noticeable heat even under normal loads, negatively impacting both performance and durability. After a relatively short period of use, the SSD failed abruptly. The BIOS still recognizes that the SSD is connected, but neither Windows, Linux, nor macOS can detect any partition on the drive. I attempted to create a new partition several times, but the process always fails with an error indicating that the device has disconnected, suggesting a hardware issue. As a PCIe Gen 4 drive, I expected greater stability, but it seems incapable of handling high temperatures in handheld gaming systems like the Legion Go. I would not recommend this product for handheld devices due to these temperature issues and lack of durability. I won’t be using this drive again in the future.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I think this is good value for money

Overall, this drive is fast and very well priced. It is new, so we shall see how it holds up after time, but overall I am very happy with the drive and the value it brings. I am using it as a gaming drive in my Legion Go and the install was easy and the drive took the cloning from the old drive very quickly.
