We have to constantly fill up the pond. Originally thought we had a leak because water was going down fairly fast fountain is lovely but could be lower **Q: What do you need for the base please?** A: Hi The liner actually sits on the ground ,so it is best to put a piece of old carpet or similar underneath to stop the chance of a sharp stone etc damaging the liner. You could also use sand if you prefer. Fairly easy to construct- instructions /pieces could be labelled more clearly. Nice water spray and the pump has a nice long cable. It looks well in situ and is the best solution we've found for the price that doesn't look twee or naff. It arrived very quickly.
