The sound is really clear and brand new. I am very happy and you can truly hear the difference in the remastering compared to my almost 40 year old CD Review: A great rocking album - Some of the reviews seem to regard "Emotional Rescue" as one of the Rolling Stones' weaker albums. However, I'm not getting that vibe at all. In fact, it fits in very nicely with "Some Girls" and "Tattoo You" as part of a trio of some of the band's best rocking albums. Disco was still raging, but even so, the opener "Dance" is still very catchy and sets the tone for a rollicking set. In addition to "Dance", you have a small foray into reggae as well, but the title track and the great rock and roll song "She's So Cold" help keep the pace going, with Ron and Keith's gritty guitars showing everybody what really good rock and roll guitar is all about, and a surprise at album's end, where Keith gets the last song, a jazzy (almost) tune with some sophisticated playing and even some real harmony vocals. Turned me onto the Stones, and made me a life long fan. There's only one dud ( " Indian Girl " ) on the whole album. It is a great Summer record ( blast this by your swimming pool on a warm sunny day along with the soundtrack to " The Harder they Come ", " Born To Run " and " Pet Sounds " ). " Let Me Go ", " Where The Boys Go ", " Summer Romance ", " She's So Cold "....so many great tracks that never get the airplay they deserve. My only complaint is that they didn't include the original poster that came with the album ( it's now reduced to just a few pictures used as the jacket ).
