I have used it to protect home made playing cards. There is a nice matte finish if you don't buff, when buffing it leaves a nice satin/slight shine to the cards. Application is pretty easy. I used a thin layer that I rubbed into the design, let cure overnight and then buffed with some kitchen roll the day after. Leave to dry for another 24 hours and they don't leave a residue if applied thin. I went for the bigger tub, and honestly it will last me probably through to the year if I use it regulary enough.
