I have a furminator grooming brush and she does not like it at all. I am only able to groom her with a cheap hairbrush for humans because her fur is so thick. Based on other reviews and the price, I gave it a go and I was amazed. First of all, it made brushing her simple. The product seemed to condition her fur almost like a hair conditioner on humans. She normally sheds late winter and late summer. I used this late winter at the first sign of shedding, just waiting for a huge furry mess. It never came! The product does not stop the shedding, but when used every 3rd day as instructed l, it made the shedding seem much more balanced. Huge clumps of hair did not come out as they have in the past. And I did not notice nearly as much fur around the house, nor did I see her grooming more regularly. My favorite thing about the product was that she is definitely more comfortable when I brush her. It has a light, pleasant fragrance and between that and some waterless shampoo, it keeps my house from having that dog smell. She does not seem to be as itchy either or sho any signs of skin irritation. Her fur is so much softer too and it looks like she just got home from a groomer whenever I used it!
