Review: Very good - We live on a hilltop in Cornwall where winds can be rather enthusiastic so a problem with any extractor fan is the amount of wind that blows in. Fitting a flap on the outlet helps, espacially with a lump of bl;ue tac to give it some weight but this fan is a game changer. The shutters are really very effective. They open and closes automatically a few seconds after turning the fan on and close themselves afterwards. Are they entirely windproof? No but they are so much better than our previous "no shutter" fan. The fan itself is very effective and doesn't use much electricity so I feel this is money well spent

**Q: Can it be fitted onto double glazed window?**
A: There are four screw holes at each corner to secure it to the wall, so unless you have some other way of securing it to glass I would say no.

**Q: Will it fit in a log cabin wall 45mm thick or will there be need to 'build up' the thickness?**
A: Hi, I guess this fan would fit in 45mm wall, however you would have to buy an outside grill section to finish the job off as this is not supplied, I made a sleeve or pipe section out of a old plastic pale to fit into wall section as to join fan to outside grill as I have cavity wall construction so you may have to use some thing to make up the distance between fan unit and out side grill. great piece of kit for the bucks as it works fine and not to noisy.

**Q: what are its dimensions**
A: Hi Ray just measured mine and it goes .225mm square x .045mm projection, has been installed for some time and works fine.

**Q: Is this two or three core connection**
A: if it has not got a timer its 2 core and earth

After 12 years my extractor fan needed to be replaced and had to be 6"/150mm. Found this on Amazon and unbelievably turned out to be exact fan that I had What a stroke of luck, made fitting an absolute doddle, secured by silicone, same previous unit as didn't want to drill my porcelain tiles incase a replacement fan had different locating holes Great efficient fan and will buy again if needed but if as good as last one, probably won't need to, it's pretty quiet and noise only increases when shutters open and air is sucked through which is understandable I can definitely recommend this unit, 👍
