I compost, and this is the perfect size to collect scraps.The lid on this has a really nice feature, where it can either open normally, or backwards. The backwards opening works great when mounted on the end of the counter, as I can leave it open and sweep scraps directly off the counter into the container. When closed, there are no odors from the container either.The inner "can" lifts out separately, so no need to remove the entire can from the mount. After dumping in the compost bin and rinsing out, it's back into the container.If you do need to remove the entire can for cleaning, it's as easy as lifting off the mounting bracket. Installation took less than 5 minutes and was super easy and simple.Verdict, this was great value for the money, seems reasonably well constructed, and works great. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Perfect compact bin for small spaces *by J***Y on July 9, 2025* This stainless steel trash can is perfect for tight spots like under the sink or inside a cabinet. I also love that the top opens two ways, very convenient for putting in scraps. The only issue I have is that the charcoal doesn't do all that much to contain the smell.
