Once you have the app you have to play with the settings depending on what matrix you are using I could not find a manual for it but with a little playing it was not hard to use. Good luck using it. **Q: Can you program to say a message when it is turned off then on again will it display the message you programmed?** A: The panel itself will do nothing when turned on and off. A microcontroller or control board of some description is required to operate the display, which will then do whatever it is programmed to do. Something like an Arduino, ESP8266, ESP32, AVR, PIC etc would do the trick. **Q: Does it really require 40w? the adafruit panel of the same size draws 4w.** A: thanks for your message, the watts of P5 panel is 18, it can support the max 40W power, thank you! **Q: Is it compatible with a raspberry pi? Hope that helps! ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Make sure you know what you are doing *by D***C on 14 August 2020* If you know what you are doing you can get it to work.It does nothing by its self, requires something to control it (can use raspberry pi and GPIO pins) and a beefy power brick 5V around 10A if you plan on using 3 of them.(Update)I've been able to power it without the beefy power brick, normal usb phone charger 5V has worked for meI use it as a rail departure broad, so as its text, most of the screen is off.Using a power bank lasted around 3 hours (10000 mAh), powering both the raspberry pi and the led panels. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Professionally made. *by T***G on 2 August 2018* Looks good and works well. Read all the stuff that is available on line, and enjoy.One slight snag, is that the fonts are quite large so have to consider any text that you use.
