This 2lb Burger Smasher is outstanding! It made quick work of totally flattening my 2 oz patties, and it's large enough that I'm confident it could handle a 2.5 oz patty should I decide to go a little bigger. The surface of my baking steel was over 600F (I have an awesome gas stove!), and this smasher performed admirably. My hands never got hot, and the patties were super thin. My first patty stuck due to operator error, but once I remembered to press and hold instead of immediately lifting it off, the problem was solved.
