I wouldn't call it a negative, but it took me some time to get used to it. using it on a mac isn't all that out of the box. My Mac as a single mic/speaker connector. This speaker has two connectors. I need to get an adapter so I can utilize the front plugs on the speaker. I stream movies and other videos quite a bit. The other speakers, ear buds, and headsets I've tried delivered sounds that were "fuzzy", especially subdued, or near-whispered dialog. Not these. Another feature I really like is the headset ports on the front of the unit. If I want to not disturb or annoy the rest of the household, I just plug in the headset. On the other hand, if you like rolling thunder bass, this is not the set for you. You need to look for a set with a woofer. The slim design allows this unit to nest neatly beneath my 23" monitor; no extra consumption of valuable desk space. NOTE to the manufacturer: Provide a control knob with a rougher surface.
