I opened it up, took it out of its cover and laid it out flat in a spare bedroom to air. As mentioned there is a strong smell initially that completely disappeared over the 48 hour airing period while the foam regains its full thickness. The excellent cover was replaced and the overlay placed on our bed which it fitted perfectly. The corner elastic straps worked very well in keeping the overlay in place while you put on a sheet - which also fitted fine with the extra two inch thickness. We have slept on it now for about a week and it has proved extremely comfortable and adds a little extra warmth as it gently adapts to your body. Packaged in a box, we unrolled it onto a spare bed and left for 48 hrs to reach the correct size. The smell was no where near as bad as I was expecting after reading some of the reviews!We placed on our bed and I had the most comfortable sleep I've had in ages. I slept in the same position all night because I was that comfy. Now when I wake up I feel like I've slept well not with aches and pains like I used to before.Absolutely love this foam topper so pleased I purchased it and if your still deciding just go for it! It's got the cover too!
