Does it have a handle closer to clip or just at end?** A: The handle is just at the end, the one shown is the only handle. There is not one closer to the clip that would allow the dog very little movement away from you (the owner). At this length, it is more of a long leash. I personally use it for a tie out as I need the type of clasp it has (my dog can shake out of and roll off the other clasp with the pull-down mechanism). And the flat nylon type tie-outs rub badly against my dogs "armpit" skin.
