Review: Fantastic, buy it! - Great book for the jazz lover who is interested in people involved around the musicians like Creed Taylor, Rudy van Gelder etc. Some really obscure covers from smaller labels and lesser known artists. A definate must and certainly complementary with other books. I own the Coast to Coast, Blue Note and Prestige books and this still adds more depth and content next to the other three. In fact, I would probably start with this and then branch out in the individual labels.
Review: I love these books - I love these books, Taschen as well as record cover books (I love the records as well though some are very tricky to find even on desertcart etc). Got many of the similar books but this is one of my favourites with some truly cool covers (wish I had been there in the 40s and 50s)

Great book for the jazz lover who is interested in people involved around the musicians like Creed Taylor, Rudy van Gelder etc. Some really obscure covers from smaller labels and lesser known artists. A definate must and certainly complementary with other books. I own the Coast to Coast, Blue Note and Prestige books and this still adds more depth and content next to the other three. In fact, I would probably start with this and then branch out in the individual labels.

I love these books, Taschen as well as record cover books (I love the records as well though some are very tricky to find even on Amazon etc). Got many of the similar books but this is one of my favourites with some truly cool covers (wish I had been there in the 40s and 50s)
