    Plastic wheels.

It's a nice tricycle, but buyer beware, this tricycle does NOT have the hard rubber wheels found on other Italtrikes on Amazon. This one has hollow plastic wheels, which causes the wheel to slip when my 27 pound, 3 yr old, pedals hard. I would expect the wheel would slip constantly for an older child. If you're considering an Italtrike, do yourself, and your child, a favor by purchasing one with the hard rubber wheels. The Italtrike frame is solid and assembly is very basic. It's all pretty disappointing but not worth the shipping to return the item.
