I think the difference between real and electric is - on electric, once a key is pushed down to a certain extent, it triggers a tone, whereas on a real piano, a tone does not occur until the hammer hits the string. I did notice on the KORG that, depending on how hard you hit the key, it affects the loudness but I am not sure it works that way for all instrument settings. **Q: Only with batteries.
