They feel tight and snug when I 1st got them, so I knew I would have to break them in like a new softball glove. I have worn them for a couple of games and my ankles felt supported and they wear comfortable. At this point I would not be able to wear a ankle brace; but the shoe was very snug and comfortable around the ankle area. I do not play volleyball however I rarely wear athletic shoes because i have a high arch, long toes , narrow feet but when I step down my foot widens. Terribly hard to find the right shoe!! ... I found them & couldn't be happier. I'm amazed at how well these fit my feet, Luvit!!!! Fits like a glove. In the past few weeks, I've bought 4 pairs, different colors. Awesome shoe!!! No need for arch supports. These have it all. So comfy I'd sleep in them lol.
