Review: Sturdy little controller - Built a small off grid system for my workshop. I used a secondhand solar panel and some free batteries and inverter. I bought this charge controller and have been using it a few months now. Very reliable and does what it is suppose to do. It does seem better built that some of the cheaper ones I have had in the past. The heat sink is substantial and the overall build it good. It charges the batteries well though an MPPT charger would do better here (much more expensive). Only issue i found was I had to get into the settings to enable the load position to work, once that was done I have just left it alone to do its thing. Excellent value at £20 especially as it can handle 30a. Review: Cheap but good - For the price it's well made, has decent wire connectors that take a thicker wire than most.
