However, because I thought it would be a good idea to push the scales against the vertical face of the Dedica EC680 it is in fact the worst thing you can do because any pressure from the sides will be registered by the silicone guard that completely covers the top and sides of the scales. Things were made worse by moving cups on and off the scales because this would cause the scales to move ever so slightly from the vertical face of the coffee machine making for even more spurious readings. Once I isolated the scales in free space so they were standing on the drip tray without the sides of the scales touching anything then I got accurate readings. So warning: DON'T push the scales against anything, let them stand in free space sol ONLY their underside makes contact with a surface.... ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.0 out of 5 stars Too big for my espresso machines *by K***S on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 19 April 2024* These scales are brilliant but a tight fit with an espresso cup under the portafilter on my la pavoni lever machine.
