I assumed that the front of this carrier would stay open when unzipped, as in the picture with the puppy, so that I could put the carrier on the ground with the front open, and concentrate my efforts on gently persuading him to hop straight in on the flat, without having to get himself over a ledge. However, I found that the front doesn't stay up when unzipped, and I found it tricky to co-ordinate ushering him into it and keeping him inside it, while at the same time holding the roof up and then zipping it up enough to make it stay up. On the second occasion Peter got into a bit of a panic while this was going on, and started scrabbling to get out and biting the sides. So I have had to abandon this carrier, and continue to use his big plastic carrier after all.
