## Description

From the manufacturer 1. Built-in Resistor: All specification types include an embedded, highly reliable, monolithic resistor to eliminate electromagnetic noise interference from all kinds of electronic devices. 2. 360° Laser Welding: The iridium tip is mounted with an All-around Laser Welding method that insures high reliability even under the most severe driving conditions. 3. 0.7mm Needle-Shaped Platinum Ground Electrode: To prevent a quenching effect, the ground electrode needs to be as small as possible. Traditional ground electrodes could not be made too small without reducing grounding strength or increasing electrode wear. However, we’ve attached a strong, fine 0.7mm-diameter platinum electrode using a 360° laser welding technique. 4. 0.4mm Ultra-fine Iridium Centre Electrode: Using DENSO’s exclusive iridium alloy having a very high melting point, the tip of the centre electrode can be shaped very thin and fine, reducing spark voltage requirements and greatly improving ignitability. The most advanced technology in the world has been employed to enable use of electrode, at 0.4 mm in diameter, in the IRIDIUM TT. **Q: does this has 0.004 size difference? is it issue ?  oem is 0.004**
A: If you are driving a Mazda Skyactive engine newer than 2012, you should be o.k.. In 2012, the stock Skyactive 2.0 uses the OEM spark plug with 0.032 gap, then the Mazda revised the spec to 0.040 gap for the vehicle after 2013. The newest spec is 0.044. The older 4711 spark plug has 0.032 then I just notice it is now 0.040. As long as your car is updated with the latest Mazda software, you should be o.k.. Personal note, this Denso 4711 burns better in my opnion and it is cheaper too.
