The hole to right is a little smaller 1/4" (.250) round bar will fit there. **Q: Does this magnet have any restriction for air freight? I mean overseas freight** A: I think most restricted air transport codes deal with intrinsically un-safe potentials like batteries, I would think magnets are fine. I use it every day, on my lathe and mill. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ It works *by R***S on April 11, 2019* The magnet holds nice and strong, and it is handy in a few situations, but I haven't been able to use it in as many areas as I'd hoped. It does work well for holding an indicator on the ways for measuring carriage travel on a lathe, but you'll want to add some tape to the underside as the edges are quite coarse, and can ding up the ways if you're not careful. Speaking of coarse edges, I had to chase a few of the threaded holes with a tap in order to get the screws to go all the way in. Not a huge deal, as most folks getting a dial indicator holder will also own a few taps.
