A: The little caps on the base of the crutches are made out of dried beef tendon.

**Q: Support 300 pound person?**
A: Hi, the company response to someone asking if will support 250lb person they said yes. When asked about 400lb they said no. So your question falls between the two.  I find them sturdy and so much better than a cane. If you don’t need to support full weight,  I think these would work.
