With the car I have, there are a lot of humps, and molded pockets on my dash. I could not get a normal sticky phone holder installed in a convenient spot. The weight of the phone appears not to be enough to close the side arms. One must shove the phone deeper into the cradle to properly engage the side arms (phone is a samsung s6). Another issue is that the vent grips are to large to fit into the vent in all but one car vent (annoying-vent fits the amazon description for acceptable types of vents). Would have returned it but I didn't act on it in time.
