I was informed that a sizeable batch of units was found to have faulty components and discarded. They explained that my purchase was one of these that slipped through, was covered under my one year warranty, and offered to resolve the issue through reimbursement or replacement. I am an engineer who makes electronics for a living. I can certainly understand that delayed failures in outside manufactured semiconductors can slip through every QA test you can throw at them. It's not easy to find problems in working devices. What surprised me was how proactive the company was in resolving the issue. It's quite rare to see a company stand by their product so strongly. That alone is enough to make me try this product again.ORIGINAL:These were great while they lasted but began to flicker 6 months after being installed. I tested them on my bench power supply with an oscilloscope and found that the buck dc-dc converter was stable but the LEDs themselves were faulty. Upon closer inspection I noticed dark spots within the diodes likely due to overheating. This product obviously uses extremely poor quality components. I am using them for interior lights on my RV to replace a regular 921 bulb. Unfortunately these are not as bright as the 921 bulb. The stock incandescent bulbs in my 2009 Lexus GS350 were fairly bright but on the yellow side. At night things are not the best with tinted windows AND the very low quality reverse camera installed in my car.. low light performance is trash.These LEDs put out a lot more light and the light is very white with to my eye no blue tint or cast. This was a big help for my ancient low quality back up camera. And it’s nice because people in parking lots for example can see you REALLY well at night, and even in the day you know for sure the car is in reverse.
