Whirlpool 3LWTW4705FW American Top loading Washer

When we returned to Europe 21 years ago, a top loading washing machine was my number one request! I purchased a Whirlpool heavy duty top loader from Costco and it lasted over 20 years. When it needed new parts this spring it wasn’t reparable because the parts weren’t available. I ordered this new machine, had it shipped to a freight service and it was here in Europe within 1 week.The machine is absolutely fabulous. It detects the load size and adjusts the water level accordingly. It is much quieter than my previous washer, faster and the clothes are cleaner. Happily, it was the same size and it fit in my laundry room space perfectly next to the dryer. As I dry my clothes outside most of the year, the dryer has had little use so (as you can see) I did not replace it.The new machine came with the input hoses and drain pipe. The hardest part of the installation was getting it out of the box and required two of us. From delivery to trying it out was less than 15 minutes.As this washer doesn’t have a manually turned selection knob which wore out after 20 years - with a bit of luck, this might be the last washing machine I’ll need before 2050.

had this item 3 months ,better off standing in the rain with soap, clothes are dirty need to go through 3 times,this model you cant get anymore they will send the newer one, its inteligent unlike there service engineers and it has agitator technology its definitely agitated me, whirlpool should be ashamed

So far so good . Had to have our plumber put a hot water supply in. It’s super quick and easy to use and to say it’s only 600 spin the clothes come out reasonably dry it’s obviously not like a 600 spin on a front loading uk washer. The wash times are really quick and everything has come out clean. I have had to use double the softener amount to get the lovely smell I think it’s because the washer takes much more water. The company and delivery firm were excellent good communication and delivered within 3 days of ordering.Update 9 weeks on . Please anyone purchasing this washing machine be aware the colours settings is purely cold water, I noticed I was getting dirty marks still left on hubby’s work clothes even though I set it to warm and when studying the book I realised the colours wash is only a cold fill even if you select warm, I have since started using the jeans setting for dirty darks on warm setting and the problems solved .

I had one when my kids were young and disposable nappies hadn’t been invented. I loved it it was an excellent machine held loads and I was able to add forgotten clothes during the wash cycle. I would definitely recommend one
