It feels like a regular pillow and if you add a pillowcase it is definitely not cooler. **Q: Does this pillow go flat after a while ?** A: It doesn't go flat, it responds to the pressure from your head and provide support. Down pillows usually go flat which can cause neck stiffness and that's why I bought this. **Q: Is there any odor? How long til it goes away??** A: Did not notice any odor.
