## Description

LARGE PARROT - MACAW & COCKATOO DUMMY EGGS: Control Egg Laying! Fast, Safely, Naturally. The DummyEggs brand fake Large Parrot eggs, provide an efficient, fast, and natural tool to control unwanted breeding and egg laying. Our realistic, solid white, non-toxic plastic eggs, are modeled after real eggs, are made in the USA, and measure 1-7/8"x 1-1/2" (4.8 x 3.8cm). They are a perfect match for Large Macaw, Large Cockatoo, Hyacinth Macaw and other large parrots. DummyEggs bird egg reproductions are used to control egg laying by replacing live eggs and simulating a full clutch of eggs. Breeders often use dummy eggs to increase chick survival. To use simply replace a full clutch of eggs with all your DummyEggs. This signals her DNA to stop producing more eggs and that it is time to incubate. No stress on her body, and no stress on you! Egg laying is a normal function but can cause great anxiety in owners and health risks to your bird. Remove the fake eggs when she is back to her non-hormonal self. Breeders use dummy eggs to increase chick survival by replacing laid eggs with plastic and mechanically incubating the real ones. Please read our important directions included with your order carefully, there is a lot of information provided.

Review: Great likeness and weight - I have an Umbrella Cockatoo that lays eggs every season now. She is 25 years old. She has only laid two total at one time within a day or so. I purchased these to keep her from laying at all. She was getting nesty lately so I ordered the ones for a Cockatoo. I got them the next day. I put one in her cage hoping she wouldn’t lay. But the very next morning there was another egg. I guess I was too late putting it in her cage. The great thing about these though is you don’t have to worry about them breaking or rotting. My bird has dropped them on the floor trying to move them and broke them. And she also pecks them sometimes and breaks them. So with these eggs I don’t have to worry about either of those possibilities. The only thing is the ones labeled for Cockatoos are a lot bigger than the eggs she lays. I almost got the smaller ones with a picture of a Goffin but went with what was labeled. But my bird is a smaller Umbrella Cockatoo. Now I wish I would have got the smaller size. But I guess as long as she doesn’t seem to know the difference it won’t matter. I haven’t noticed yet if she has noticed the difference or not. They’ve only been in there for two days. Time will tell if these are going to help. Update: Well it looks like it may not be working for me. She laid another egg two days later. I will email the company and get their advice.
Review: Seems to work - My cockatoo laid 5 more eggs from the end of November to January 8th. I was getting desperate to try and mitigate this potential harm to her health, and leaving her eggs with her I learned earlier last year didn't really work - because after a few days she'd break them. Someone suggested dummy eggs, and I read the info on this product of which the rationale sounded logical to me. Since I've been using the product (I ordered two to begin with, but the info with the product indicated the correct # for cockatoos should be 4, so I immediately ordered 2 more. They sit on the bottom of the cage in a shallow bowl - she can't break them when she plays with them, but the idea is the presence of a full clutch of eggs is like a trigger which shuts off the egg-laying behavior. All I can say is there have been no more eggs from her since early January when I introduced the eggs in her came - about a month now, and that is wonderful news. I don't have to worry so much about calcium deficiency and prolapse potential. I'm satisfied that this product does actually work - happy customer. Kind of expensive for solid plastic/polyurethane but can't argue with success, and I can use the eggs over and over as needed, and that's the bottom line.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Do I need the large or medium size for an umbrella cockatoo?**
A: It is really hard to say as I have known them to use either one. Do you have one to measure and compare with? The length of the medium is 1 1/2" and the Large is 1 7/8". If you don't have an egg, then go by whether you have observed it being a larger or smaller U2. Sorry I can't be more specific. Thanks for your question. DummyEggs USA

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Prevents frequency of egg laying...
*by K***B on 18 January 2025*

... for Blue & Gold Macaw. She became a chronic egg layer over time and the Shell's were getting softer so starter finding them in cage tray. Now I give her one or two of these to sit on for 28 day incubation period and et voila - no new eggs. Only complaint is they're hard to clean if they get pooped on. Bothers me more than the parrot!
