Aico heat alarm, 240V mains powered with 10 year lithium battery backup. Heat detectors are mainly suitable for kitchens, garages and some main living rooms. They are less vulnerable to false alarms than smoke detectors. They should only be used in an installation that also has smoke detectors and should always be linked to the other detectors. Comes complete with lithium battery, hush button, mounting plate, mains LED, warning LED and protective dust cover. **Q: Can I replace my Aico mains smoke alarm in my kitchen with this heat alarm whilst using the same base plate?**
A: I think you will find that it comes with a Base plate which is easily changed if required. They are interchangeable but they are mains powered with a backup battery
