While being blocky, they actually look nice with the dark grey coating. Only things I dislike about the weights are the size at higher weights, for some exercises they just feel cumbersome. Also the weight adjustors are not great. One mine one of the adjusted is slightly not straight, and it means that it doesn't lock in properly half the time so I have to fiddle around with it. Which gets annoying between sets.
